ok, lots of major changes have been going on between 1.6.2 and 1.6.4 getting ready for the 1.7 release which will ‘change the world of minecraft’.
i will try to keep this page updated with links to server and client resources.
to the right you will find the status of the server and the updated connection info.
Dynamic Map
the dynamic map allows you to see a realtime view of the world via your web browser:
Poobox 1.6.4 SMP Server
here is a download for the updated jar file for your client for the current version of the server (1.6.4):
quick install:
- unzip 164_modded_server.zip into your .minecraft/versions folder. you should now have .minecraft/versions/164_modded_server/ with 2 files in it (164_modded_server.jar/.json)
- launch the minecraft launcher
- click the ‘new profile’ button.
- enter a profile name of your choice so that you will remember which profile this is (ie 164 server)
- under ‘use version’ click the drop down, and look for ‘release 164_modded_server’ and select it. (you may have to scroll all the way up and all the way down).
- save profile
- select the profile you just created and click play!!
NOTE: for a more expansive explanation see the link to the right –>
Single Player SPC
i will also attempt to keep up-to- date the single player modded jar files in which i’ve added ‘single player commands’ and ‘worldedit’ along with the usual rei’s minimap and optifine.
– client 1.6.4 SPC
– worldedit
this will allow you to have many fancy commands like on the server but in single player mode, and will also give you worldedit commands as well.
NOTE: this is for use in single player mode ONLY!
quick install:
- unzip 164_modded_spc.zip into your minecraft/version folder, create or edit profile to use 164_modded_spc
- run minecraft once and log into your single player world. if done right you should get a message about single player commands. (along with an error about worldedit)
- exit minecraft
- copy wordedit.jar from the worldedit zip file into your minecraft/mods/spc folder
- log back into minecraft and you should now get the message about spc and no longer have the error about the missing worldedit file.
- enjoy!
